*My Pomegranate Christmas Punch*

*MY POMEGRANATE CHRISTMAS PUNCH*

I was given this recipe from a very special South African friend of mine over Christmas and it was just so delicious that I made it for both Christmas and New Years Eve!

Seeing as we are still in the season of giving (sort of!), I would like to share the recipe as a token of goodwill to anyone who is still feeling in need of some festive cheer. Happy supping!!

INGREDIENTS:

1 bottle of white champagne (I used Riccadonna Asti - good choice!)
1 bottle of pomegranate juice
The seeds of one pomegranate
2 whole lemons, sliced
A couple of glugs of white rum
mint

*We added apple sliced into star-shapes to make the punch look more festive and it tasted even better!*

And In the Red Box

And In the Red Box
And in the red box
tied with red ribbons
tell me justice lies
and school books for children
tell me there is
a sandwich
for the man
starving
on the corner.
Tell me when Christmas
comes
peace
and a warm fire
happiness
and
joy
an end
to selfishness
comes with it

Dumb Ways to Die

Sick! Sick! Totally sick but I can't stop singing this tune now that I've heard it and I know that my students will love this as well. We had the transport department come to the school a few weeks ago to talk to the students about train station and without doubt, it was the most boring two-hour long talk I've ever heard in my life. They should have just shown this! I definitely won't be standing too close to any train platform after watching this video!

My new classroom!!

After nearly a year of doing relief work and teaching in other people's classrooms, I finally FINALLY have a classroom that is mine, all mine!!

All I want to do now is decorate it!! Any ideas? :-)

Having a whale of a time!

Lately, I've been really big on giving experiences for presents rather than gifts that will be thrown away or forgotten. My mom loves nature and the sea and so for her birthday, I took her on a whale watching cruise in Fremantle! We were so lucky to find these two beautiful Humpback whales that were so friendly and very curious about what was happening on our boat! They played for us, waved at us and even stuck their heads right up to the boat to have a sneaky peek at what was happening on board. It was such an amazing experience and something that's been on my bucket list for a long time so I'm very pleased to have been able to give my mom such a unique birthday present that she loved and share this once-in-a-lifetime experience with her :-)
